Emily Herring, a native of Mobile, has recently relocated to the Gulf Coast from New York City. She has had an extensive singing career in the US and abroad performing with various groups such as: Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Alabama Winds, Opera Birmingham, Mobile Opera and The Magic of Musicals. National tours: Ragtime (Mother), Kiss Me, Kate (Kate), and The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess - “Best Actress” nomination by Nat’l Broadway Theatre Awards). Other credits include: Paper Mill Playhouse (Ragtime), California Musical Theatre (A Little Night Music), Virginia Samford Theatre (Always…Patsy Cline), Red Mountain Theatre (Beauty and the Beast/Mary Poppins), and Alabama Shakespeare Festival (Honky Tonk Angels).

Emily has earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music - Vocal Performance at The University of Southern Mississippi and The University of Tennessee. Alongside her performing career, she has been a voice instructor at The University of Alabama, UAB, Montevallo, Birmingham-Southern College, and currently with AMDA in NYC, and in her private studio.

She is a member of NATS (NYC Board), Actor’s Equity, MTEA, and has been an adjudicator and vocal coach for numerous competitions and scholarship programs. Emily wishes to thank her cousin, Joe Rambo, and Mary Katherine for this opportunity to sing with such a talented group!
